He said, “No human being’s DNA is identical. Right? Their structural, or maybe their dyslexia, or some aptitude, or the left brain, or the right brain, or there are different forms of autism, light spectrum, heavy spectrum. And everybody should use their ability or their disability to their advantage.”

“I always thought that when I was in school, I could not understand mathematics. And that does not define me. What defines me then? My ability to communicate. My ability to tell stories. My ability to use my body. My ability to use my voice. Use that,” the actor further stated.

“I have a great memory for certain things. I have no memory for numbers. Zero. So, you can teach me arithmetic for hours, I will never understand it. So, that is society’s way of judging you. I don’t get judged like that. I get judged by my own personal competence. So, when I was 11 years old, I saw this scene in a movie. I still have that clear memory, maybe because of some disability or ability. So, I just feel, one must never feel inferior to anybody,” Boman Irani went on to say.

Further talking about his film Khosla Ka Ghosla, Boman said, “Khosla Ka Ghosla was a big, big thing for me as an actor. As a performer. Everybody was very sceptical of me doing this role, because I’m a Parsi from South Bombay, and I’m playing a Punjabi from Delhi. And, yeh nahi kar payega (won’t be able to perform it). So, I said, ‘No, no, no, the moment you say nahi kar payega na, toh maine challenge le liya (took it as a challenge). Khatam ho gaya (and that was it).’ And then you work harder and harder and harder to do the insurmountable.”

The actor then said, “So, in that sense, it was, for me, very special. And then people couldn’t believe that I’m Parsi from South Bombay, behaving the way this character was behaving.”

Govinda was discharged from Mumbai’s CritiCare Hospital on Wednesday afternoon after being admitted earlier that morning due to fatigue. Following his release, Govinda explained that his exhaustion was caused by overexertion, a diagnosis confirmed by his doctors.

Govinda Has Been Discharged From The Hospital

The 61-year-old actor was taken to the hospital in suburban Juhu early Wednesday after he lost consciousness and experienced disorientation at his home. In a message to his fans, Govinda emphasised the importance of maintaining good health, advising, “People need to incorporate yoga and pranayam into their daily routine for better health and energy.”

His lawyer, Lalit Bindal, confirmed that Govinda was brought to the hospital early that day. According to Bindal, Govinda received medication via teleconsultation before being rushed to the hospital around 1 a.m. He underwent several medical tests during his stay. Bindal provided an update while Govinda was still hospitalized, stating, “Govinda is currently under observation. He is sleeping after taking medicines. The doctors are expected to review his condition around noon, and further decisions will be made based on his progress. His medical tests are ongoing.”

Veteran Dharmendra was also discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital this morning. He had been admitted on October 31 after experiencing breathlessness. Additionally, on Monday, Govinda visited Dharmendra in the hospital to check on his health.

Govinda, renowned for his roles in films like Hero No. 1, Raja Babu, Bhagam Bhag, and Partner, also extended his wishes for Dharmendra’s speedy recovery and long life.

On November 7, Sunjay Khan’s wife and former actor Zarine Khan breathed her last at their Mumbai residence, at the age of 81. Mother of Sussanne Khan, Zayed Khan, Farah Khan Ali and Simone Arora, Zarine had reportedly been suffering from age-related ailments for a long time. Born a Parsi and married as a Muslim, the late actor was cremated according to Hindu rites on the day of her death. Later on November 10, Zarine’s loved ones got together for her prayer meet, where her family members, including former son-in-law Hrithik Roshan, paid their last respects.

Hrithik Roshan, who was earlier married to Sussanne Khan, fondly remembered his former mother-in-law Zarine Khan in a video from the prayer meet, shared by Farah Khan Ali. The actor shared, “It has been my privilege to love and be loved by you.” Hrithik and Sussanne’s son Hridaan Roshan also paid tribute to his naani, stating: “She carried this calmness, this kindness, that made everyone around her feel cared for.” Sussanne’s brother and Zarine’s son Zayed Khan, on the other hand, shared, “My mother was my God. I’ll miss her deeply.” In the audience, Sussanne and her family attempted to hold back tears during the emotional event.

Remembering the first time he saw his wife Zarine, Sunjay Khan shared, “I met her when I was 18 and she was 14. When I looked into her luminous, beautiful eyes, mujhe aisa laga jaise main duniya ko dekh raha hun. I asked her, ‘Will you marry me?’ She looked at me with a smile and said, ‘If I feel the same about you that I feel now, I’ll say yes after one year’. So I said, ‘With or without her beauty, she is also intelligent. She will make me a very good wife’.”

In the caption below, Farah shared, “Zarine Sanjay Khan to the world — but to me and my siblings, simply our mother. She was my world, or so I thought… until I witnessed the overwhelming turnout of people from all walks of life who came forward to pay their last respects to a woman who made each one feel seen and heard — irrespective of class, social status, or faith. To her, all were equal, and all equally important. I am truly blessed to have witnessed this outpouring of love for my mother. I’m also profoundly grateful for having had her in my life for more than half a century, because every moment of that time was precious. She shaped me and my siblings in her image — she loved generously and gave without flinching. She had a golden heart, just like the meaning of her beautiful name Zarine, which means “golden” or “to shine.” And shine she did — the brightest of all — as she left her earthly abode for her heavenly one. Thank you, God, for my mother. Thank you for all the love she received. Thank you that she lives on in me and my siblings. We will carry her legacy forward. 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Red Fort Blast: Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and More Mourn Victims, Mika Singh Cancels Delhi Show

Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and several other celebrities have condemned the Delhi Red Fort blast and mourned the loss of lives. The blast, which happened on November 10 near the Red Fort metro station, reportedly killed 13 people and injured several others.

 

Alia took to social media to express her anguish and sympathy for the victims. Sharing a note on Instagram, the Jigra actress wrote, “Can’t imagine how devastated the victims’ families would be feeling. May we find answers to this chaos soon. Praying for every soul affected by this tragedy. #RedFortBlast”

Ranveer Singh too shared a message last night, writing, “Horrified by the incident that took place in Delhi yesterday evening. My condolences to the families of the bereaved.” The actor was supposed to launch the trailer of his upcoming film Dhurandhar today but postponed the event in the wake of the tragedy. An official statement shared by the team read, “The Dhurandhar trailer launch scheduled for 12th November has been postponed, as a mark of respect to the victims and families affected by yesterday’s Delhi blast. The revised date and details for the trailer launch will be shared soon. Thank you for your understanding. — Jio Studios, B62 Studios & Team Dhurandhar.”

Meanwhile, singer Mika Singh has cancelled his show in Delhi. He was supposed to perform at Soho Club. Moreover, Cocktail 2’s Delhi schedule has also been postponed. The film stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna.

Earlier, celebrities such as Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Karan Johar, Vijay Thalapathy, Sidharth Malhotra, Sonu Sood, Raveena Tandon, Ishaan Khatter, Arjun Kapoor and Prosenjit Chatterjee, among others took to social media to express shock over the Red Fort Blast.

Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata have been put on high alert after the blast.
