The actor took to social media to respond to a fan club post featuring images of people celebrating the series with posters of both Shah Rukh and Aryan.

In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Shah Rukh shared pictures of fans celebrating the show. He wrote a note that read: “Thank u team for the love and cheers. Hope you guys finished watching the show… at least a few times. Ha ha.”

During the launch event of the show, Shah Rukh had noted his initial thoughts about it and Aryan’s approach. “When Aryan told me he was going to make a show on Bollywood, that it would be raw, edgy, and would have some madness to it,” he said. “I thought, ‘Is he going to share the CCTV footage of Mannat on YouTube?'” Shah Rukh Khan added.

“If I’m being honest, it took me a while to really catch on and catch the tone of the show. Once I did, I was completely drawn in, and honestly, I’m really, really happy about it.”

The Ba***ds of Bollywoog getting rave reviews

Aryan’s debut series has sparked widespread conversation since its release, both for its bold subject matter and its unconventional storytelling. The show takes a satirical, behind-the-scenes look at the film industry, peeling back the glamour to reveal the chaos beneath. Its daring tone and fresh perspective have drawn praise from critics and viewers alike.

In a review, Hindustan Times noted: “What works in Ba***ds’ favour is that these spicy gossip and anecdotes are not simply peppered in the show for fun. There is a woven narrative that has some semblance and cohesion, even if not much. What saves it is great casting and some solid performers.”

The review went on to highlight how the show avoids star-driven casting in favour of actors who truly fit their roles.

“Manish Chaudhari as Freddy, Bobby Deol as Ajay, and Raghav Juyal as the hero’s friend Parvaiz are perfectly cast. Their performances are also the best part of Ba***ds, elevating it from merely chuckleworthy to actually fun.”

Recently, Homebound was screened at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), where it received a standing ovation. The film was also the second runner-up in the 2025 International People’s Choice Award category at the festival.

Homebound is directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. It stars Janhvi, Ishaan, and Vishal in lead roles. It will be shown in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes. The film is gaining international attention, especially because legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese is the executive producer. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. The co-producers are Marijke de Souza and Melita Toscan Du Plantier. The pop sensation’s new record, The Life of a Showgirl, drops on Friday, October 3, and she is marking the moment with a short-run film event. Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl will play in theaters nationwide the same day, giving fans just one weekend to catch it.

According to Harpers Bazaar, the limited engagement runs from October 3 through October 5. That is three days only – Friday through Sunday – before it disappears from theaters. Swift’s team is pitching it as part movie premiere, part album release, rolled into one experience.

Where to watch it?

AMC Theatres is at the center of the rollout. Swift already made history with them during last year’s Eras Tour concert film, and this marks the second collaboration between the star and the chain. AMC confirmed screenings will start right at showtime.

Tickets are already on sale through AMC’s website. Cinemark is also part of the launch, offering screenings in standard format as well as Cinemark XD. The XD upgrade means giant screens, wall-to-wall sound, and a more immersive setup. Both chains expect heavy demand given Swift’s past box office record.

What is inside the film

The main attraction is the world premiere of the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” the lead single from The Life of a Showgirl. As Filmfare nears its 70th edition, we take head back to 1970, to the 17th Filmfare Awards. On 11 May 1970, Bombay (now Mumbai) saw the stars of Hindi cinema gather to celebrate films from 1969. Among the biggest winners that night was Aradhana, a romantic drama directed by Shakti Samanta.  
Aradhana was released on 7 November 1969 in Hindi. It starred Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore in lead roles. The story mixes romance, sacrifice, identity, and strong emotions. Vandana (Sharmila Tagore) falls in love with Arun (Rajesh Khanna), who is an Air Force pilot. After Arun’s death in a crash, Vandana must face stigma, raise her son against odds, even when forced to give him up. She then becomes his caretaker later in life without revealing she is his mother. Over time, the film shows her silent strength and love.  
At the 17th Filmfare Awards, Aradhana led the nominations with 9 nods. It won Best Film, and Sharmila Tagore won her first (and only) Best Actress award for her role as Vandana. Meanwhile, Rajesh Khanna was nominated for Best Actor for Aradhana, but the award went to Ashok Kumar for Aashirwad.  


Other highlights: Anokhi Raat won four Filmfare awards, including Best Screenplay and Best Dialogue. Aradhana also gained praise for its music: songs like Mere Sapno Ki Rani became iconic. She credited Harbhajan for standing by her side like a pillar of strength.

“When I had my first miscarriage, he was in Punjab but came the next day. For those who don’t know, Shah Rukh Khan and Rakesh Roshan share a good bond, and we all know how close friends Khan and Hrithik Roshan are. However, back in 2017, the box office clash affected Khan’s relationship with senior Roshan. In fact, Roshan went all out, saying how Khan didn’t do the right thing, as the decision not to back down from the clash would impact the box office of both films.

What Did Rakesh Roshan Say About Kaabil Vs Raees Box Office Clash?

While talking to Indian Express, Rakesh Roshan shared that after a lot of brainstorming, he decided to shift his Kaabil to January 2017 as he got a clean slate to release his film. As a lot of films were arriving in October, November, and December of 2016, the veteran filmmaker and producer moved his film ahead as he thought clashing his film with other films wasn’t a good practice.

To Rakesh Roshan’s surprise, just after Kaabil was announced for January release, he learned that Shah Rukh Khan was coming with his Raees, and that too on the same date. Talking further, Roshan said, “I met Shah Rukh Khan and explained it to him that there is a well and we both are jumping into it. Because there is a box-office limitation of not crossing 300 crore, either you will be at 170 crore and I at 130 crore or vice versa. I also told him Hrithik is not your contemporary. Your contemporaries are Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, who have already crossed 300 crore. So it is better that we don’t clash and you choose some other date.”

As Shah Rukh Khan didn’t back down from a clash, Rakesh Roshan went on to call this clash ‘unethical.’ Meanwhile, both Raees and Kaabil were box office winners. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer did a business of 139.21 crores in India, Hrithik Roshan’s film had earned 126.85 crores despite a clash.

What Next For Rakesh Roshan? 

Roshan is currently preparing for Krrish 4. While he would not be returning to the director’s chair, the filmmaker alongside Aditya Chopra would be guiding Hrithik Roshan, who will himself direct the film while starring in the titular role.

What Next For Shah Rukh Khan? 

The superstar is set to appear next on King, one of the most-awaited upcoming Bollywood movies. While not much has been revealed about the film, it is shaping up to be a star-studded mega project, directed by Siddharth Anand.

Speaking of Shakti Kapoor’s infamous Crime Master Gogo from Andaz Apna Apna, Tinnu Anand revealed an interesting story. He shared, “Crime Master Gogo ka character bhi mera hi tha. Log nahi jaante, kyunki Raj aur meri bahut dosti ho gayi thi. Damini ki hai humne, Ghatak ki hai. Ab Crime Master Gogo ka sawaal aaya ji, toh Raj ji ne mere ko kaha, ‘Tinnu, ek role hai. Kuch clear cut nahi aa raha hai, lekin uska naam Crime Master Gogo hai.’ Maine kaha, ‘Raj, mere upar wale maale pe ek Sardar ki family rehti hai.”

He added, “Unki ek beti hai, bachchi hai, lekin itni confident ladki hai yaar. Ghanti maaregi, mere sofa pe aake baith jaayegi. Paon ke upar paon rakh degi. Maid ko bulaayegi—‘Ek Coke la dena.’ Piye gi, rakh degi. Main wahin khada hota hoon. Kabhi thank you bolke chali jaati hai, kabhi bina thank you bole hi nikal jaati hai.’ Yeh roz hota tha.”

He continued, “Maine ek experiment try kiya. Aaj subah jab woh aayi, aise baithi, main apne bedroom mein tha. Bedroom se bahar aaya toh maine dekha—’Kaise ho?’ toh she said, ‘Fine.’ Abhi Gokula aaya nahi tha, usne peeche mud ke dekha, ‘Kya hua Gokula ko?’ Maine kaha, ‘Aa raha hai, aa raha hai.’ Aur phir maine usko aise dekha—uski aankhon mein aankhen daal ke. Aap bhi try kijiye kabhi. Blink mat kijiye. Aapko lagega kuch gadbad hai. Dekhiye—blink kiya na? Fir main bola, ‘Kya dekh rahi hai? Yeh jo teri moti moti aankhen hain na, woh main hathheli pe rakhunga, nikaal ke, aur uske saamne goti khelunga.’”

The filmmaker added, “Uska expression kabhi dekha hi nahi tha maine. Aise (the child got scared)karke bhaagi, upar jaake ro rahi thi. Maa ne kabhi nahi dekha tha usko roते hue. Tinnu Anand Recalls Shakti Kapoor Yelling At Fans

Tinnu Anand recalled how Shakti Kapoor recently yelled at fans. He shared, “Shakti aur main recently airport pe the. Kyunki hamara plane delayed tha, toh humne kaha chalo coffee pee lete hain. Café mein gaye. Café mein itne mein teen—do ladke, ek ladki—aaye hamare table par, aur bole, ‘Sir, sir, selfie, selfie!’ Shakti Kapoor unpe chillaa diye, ‘You people are college students, don’t you know manners? We are talking to each other, guftagu kar rahe the. We were talking about something, and you came and interrupted us. When we finish, you stand there, I will give it to you!’”

He concluded, “I was shocked. Toh maine kaha, ‘Shakti, tere ko apne din yaad hain? Jab tu struggling tha, tu struggling only for this, right? Ki log aayenge, selfie–autograph lenge, photograph lenge, ladkiyan aayengi. Aaj jab aa rahe hain tere se maangne, tu rude kyon ho raha hai yaar? Bas zara wait kar lijiye. Do tareeke hote hain baat karne ke.’ He said, ‘Sorry sir.’ He called them and said, ‘Come, take, take a selfie.’”

Tinnu Anand was recently seen in Good Bad Ugly, Crazxy and Dil Dosti Aur Dogs. All these films were released in 2025.
