Eastside Rooms becomes first venue to achieve Gold Neuroinclusive Venue Accreditation

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

The Eastside Rooms has been awarded Gold Certification under the Neuroinclusive Venue Accreditation developed by Welcome Brain Consulting, becoming the first venue in the world to reach this level. The recognition reflects a strong and proactive commitment to neuroinclusion, with measures that support a welcoming experience for every delegate from first enquiry to event delivery.

The accreditation acknowledges a sustained programme of work at The Eastside Rooms. The team has focused on clear information before people arrive, options that reduce anxiety during planning, and practical support while on-site. This includes sensory considerate spaces where guests can decompress, flexible room layouts that limit sensory overload, plain language guides for the venue and the surrounding area, and training that builds staff confidence and awareness.

Neuroinclusion is now part of everyday operations at the venue. Processes have been reviewed so that inclusion is considered at each step, from proposal and contracting, event design and signage, to feedback and continuous improvement. The result is a venue experience that is clearer, calmer, and easier to navigate, not only for neurodivergent attendees but for everyone.

Tim Sparrow, general manager at The Eastside Rooms, said: “We want every guest to feel comfortable, confident, and able to take part in their own way. Working toward this accreditation has helped us turn good intentions into everyday practice. We looked at the entire journey and focused on the moments that matter most. Clear information before people arrive; calm places to decompress; flexible room setups; sensory considerate lighting and sound; and above all, a team that understands why these details matter. Gold Certification is a proud moment for everyone at The Eastside Rooms, however, despite achieving the top award, we recognise that inclusion is a continuing journey. We will therefore keep listening, learning, and improving.”

The Welcome Brain Neuroinclusive Venue Accreditation forms part of a wider mission to make neuroinclusion a standard across the events industry. The framework supports venues, organisers, and associations to adopt practical and dignity preserving approaches that reduce effort for attendees and create spaces where people can participate in a way that feels authentic.

Andy Williamson, founder of Welcome Brain Consulting added: “The Eastside Rooms has shown how a venue can lead by putting neuroinclusion at the heart of its culture. The team engaged with the detail, they mapped the delegate journey, and they made changes that are easy to use in real events. Gold Certification recognises both the progress made and the ongoing commitment to review, learn, and adapt. We hope this achievement encourages many more venues to follow.”

What the accreditation recognises at The Eastside Rooms:

  • Clear information and choice – Plain language pre-event guides, visual wayfinding, and clear contact routes for specific needs. Organisers receive checklists and sample copy so they can brief delegates with confidence.
  • Sensory considerate spaces – Identified quiet areas, options to lower lighting, and simple adjustments to limit unexpected noise.
  • Flexible room setups – Seating layouts that offer choice, with easy access to exits and quieter zones.
  • Supportive staff practice – Training that builds awareness of sensory difference, communication preferences, and respectful assistance.
  • Feedback and improvement – Post event learning that informs updates to signage, information, and operational planning.

Why neuroinclusion matters for events:

Neurodivergent people are part of every audience. Clear information, predictable processes, and flexible environments reduce cognitive load and allow more people to take part. These measures are practical to deliver, they improve delegate confidence, and they often make events smoother for all attendees, including speakers, sponsors, and crew.

The Eastside Rooms will continue to work with Welcome Brain Consulting on regular reviews, staff refreshers, and updates to resources for organisers. The goal is simple, to keep inclusion visible in planning and to maintain a welcoming and dignified experience for every guest.

bitchy | The Sussexes didn’t consent to Kris Jenner’s party pics being shared on Instagram

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

All of the drama around this story is strange, right? Last Saturday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party. So many A-listers and billionaires were in attendance, and Meghan and Harry happily posed for photos with Kris and Kim Kardashian. On Monday, Kris and Kim posted party photos on their respective Instagram accounts, then within a few hours, both women edited their carousels and deleted some of the photos, including pics of Harry and Meghan. Now the deleted photos have become a stand-alone scandal, because people are being ridiculous. It feels like the campaign to treat the photo-deletion is yet another attempt to smear the Sussexes. As in, “Kris deleted those photos because she HATES the Sussexes and/or they weren’t even invited!” Please, that was never it. Still, there were questions about what happened behind the scenes, whether it was Team Sussex politely asking for the photos to come down, or whether it was Kris trying to protect H&M. Well, The Royalist Substack is on the case:

Online, theories soon started to circulate, which can be boiled down to a) the Sussexes were snubbed by not being included, or b) the Sussexes got the pics taken down either because they i) didn’t look good or ii) because of the whole Remembrance Sunday context.

The truth, according to a source in Harry and Meghan’s camp with direct knowledge of the arrangements, is actually b) iii) – that Harry and Meghan, along with other guests, were asked beforehand if they consented to images of them at the party being shared and had said “no” (despite, perplexingly, apparently allowing themselves to be photographed arriving).

Photographic consent forms are now routine at high-octane gatherings, and the Sussexes, fully in line with Hollywood etiquette circa 2025, ticked “no” for inside shots.

Someone on the Jenner social team missed the memo, the shots went live, a klaxon sounded somewhere, and down they came.

I’m told Harry and Meghan were not particularly bothered by the photos being published, which is lucky, as they have now been saved by an army of Redditors. Turns out, deleting a post of your hubby looking daft on the world’s biggest digital megaphone produces the opposite of disappearance (the aged among us will know this as the Streisand Effect).

[From The Royalist Substack]

“Turns out, deleting a post of your hubby looking daft…” Meghan wasn’t the one deleting anything and Harry didn’t look “daft.” If Sykes is interested in a daft-looking prince, perhaps he should check out Prince Huevo’s “I can read, I swear” photo-op on a private plane in Brazil last week, or perhaps check out those volleyball photos again. I also think it’s a bit “daft” to assume that Kris Jenner was sitting there, personally adding or removing photos to her carousel. She has staff! She has a social media team, as does Kim. But sure, I believe that the A-list guests were probably given waivers or whatever and they had to check a box saying “I’m cool/not cool with these photos being posted to social media.” I also believe Harry and Meghan probably didn’t care that much either way – I mean, Kris didn’t remove the photos of Beyonce and Tina Knowles, you know? If Beyonce doesn’t give a sh-t, why would the Sussexes?

Also: a party insider (??) told Page Six that Meghan “was definitely in networking mode. She schmoozed with a lot of power players” at the party, and that Meghan came across as “cool.”

After I wrote all of this, People Magazine confirmed the basic gist of Sykes’ exclusive – their Sussex sources are saying the same thing, that Harry and Meghan checked “no” on the consent form.

Jake Paul is no longer just a YouTuber—he’s a full-fledged entertainment and business mogul making waves across sports, media, and entrepreneurship. After stepping into the ring with boxing legend Mike Tyson on November 15, 2024, Paul is already gearing up for his next big move: negotiations are reportedly underway for a blockbuster heavyweight fight with former champion Anthony Joshua in December 2025, potentially streamed on Netflix.

With business ventures, boxing ambitions and a rapidly expanding media empire, Paul is carving out a dominant role in and out of the ring. Here’s a closer look at his current net worth, career highlights, and how much he made from stepping into the ring with Tyson.

What Is Jake Paul’s Net Worth?

Paul’s estimated net worth is $100 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

What Are Jake Paul’s Main Sources of Income?

Paul first rose to prominence in 2013 by posting short-form videos on the now-defunct Vine platform, quickly amassing millions of followers and billions of views. He later transitioned his viral content skills to YouTube in 2014, where he launched his own channel known for its controversial pranks, practical jokes, and hip-hop content.

In 2015, Paul expanded his career to television, signing on for the Disney Channel’s teen series Bizaardvark.

However, his relationship with Disney ended in 2017 amid growing media scrutiny over his provocative YouTube stunts, including setting furniture on fire in an empty swimming pool at his Los Angeles mansion.

Paul’s fame skyrocketed further when he entered the world of celebrity boxing, a trend started by his older brother Logan Paul, who fought English influencer KSI in a pay-per-view amateur match in Manchester in 2018. Two years later, the younger brother made his professional boxing debut, facing English YouTuber AnEsonGib in a highly publicized undercard fight alongside a world middleweight title bout.

Paul’s most recent fight before facing Tyson was a July 20, 2024, bout against former UFC fighter Mike Perry. Originally, the date set for the Tyson match (which was postponed due to Tyson’s ulcer flare-up), Paul chose to stay active and fought Perry instead, winning by TKO in the sixth round.

How Much Did Jake Paul Get Paid for the Mike Tyson Netflix Fight?

Although the promoters of the event—Most Valuable Promotions—and the Texas Athletic Commission did not disclose the fighters’ purses, estimates from DraftKings Network and other sources suggest Paul earned around $40 million for the fight, a figure he seemingly confirmed in a pre-fight interview.

“I’m here to make $40 million and knock out a legend,” Paul said at the press conference.

The social media influencer, who has almost 29 million followers on Instagram alone, is also the co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), the company that promoted the event in partnership with Netflix.

How Much Did Mike Tyson Get Paid for the 2024 Netflix Fight?

In contrast, online sources, including DraftKings Network, estimated that Tyson earned around $20 million.

Compared to his previous earnings, the difference in pay is significant. After being released on parole and returning to boxing in 1995, Tyson earned $30 million for each of his next four matches. This included the infamous 1997 bout against Evander Holyfield, in which Tyson bit off part of Holyfield’s right ear. Tyson was disqualified from the fight, had his boxing license revoked, and was fined $3 million, but he was allowed to keep his purse from the fight.

When Was Mike Tyson’s Last Fight?

The former heavyweight world champion had not fought in a professional bout since 2005, when he suffered a sixth-round loss to Kevin McBride. Since then, Tyson has participated in exhibition matches, including a 2020 showdown against fellow veteran Roy Jones Jr., which ended in a split draw.

Dear Dharmendra Sir, Fight Hard & Let Us All Feel Ashamed That We Waited For Someone’s Passing, Instead Of Praying For His Recovery! [Opinion]

Dear Dharmendra Sir, Fight Hard & Let Us All Feel Ashamed For How We Have Treated You![Opinion]
We All Should Render A Collective Apology To Dharmendra Sir & His Family! (Photo Credit – Instagram)

The media is a hard place to be. You live under a constant pressure of breaking the news. We did it first, we often claim! But there are times when we need to sit down and question our conscience. How far have we come, and how insensitive we are! For the past few days, I have seen the mockery of the life of one of the most celebrated superstars of this country – Dharmendra!

A senior, reputed anchor, offering condolences to his family, a senior artist from the music fraternity singing songs to offer tribute, some reputed members of the fraternity putting up Rest In Peace messages, and all of this while the man we love was struggling and fighting hard, putting up the toughest fight he could, to breathe, to live!

Honestly, I was numb! I was speechless at this eagerness to talk about someone in the past tense, not bothering to know if he struggles. But here’s what surprised me the most – We as human beings were waiting for the news of someone’s death! Like really? How dead should our morals be to wait for the confirmation of someone’s passing away! What was needed was prayers for Dharmendra Sir’s recovery! All he needs is his fans praying for his well-being!

Superstars shower immense love on their fans. They never shy away from crediting their stardom to their fans. But here we are, the so-called fans who waited for a death confirmation, rather than celebrating his will to fight and survive! Honestly, all this added trauma to his family in such a distressing time could have been eased with an apology!

But we turned this into a further circus outside his home and pushed it to a point where Sunny Deol lost his cool at the media! I wonder how they must feel when they see their stressed video from the hospital room, which is being shamelessly circulated, without anyone’s consent, because, yes, a superstar’s life is for public display! Why bother!

While I was numb at all that happened in the past few days, one of my friends pointed out, if someone would have told me that my parents are no more while they are alive, I don’t know, what would I have done to that person, and that hit me so hard! Imagine, the distress we have been causing to someone’s family who is just praying for their father, grandfather, husband, brother, to get well soon, just fight and just live!

Dear Dharmendra Sir,

I know, no apology or sorry can undo what we have done to you and your family in the last few days! But, Sir, you keep fighting to recover and live a healthy life till you can! You fight, Sir, and get well soon, and slap us hard with that fighting spirit so that we can feel ashamed not as professionals but as human beings.

We are a bunch of gossip mongers feeding on stardom and as fans we are a spineless bunch! Once you recover, we will be the same hypocrites who would cheer loudly and praise your fighting spirit. But you fight hard to make us feel ashamed for the basic decency we’ve lost as human beings! We have become so inert, so morally bankrupt, that we wait not for someone’s revival, but for their death. Make us feel ashamed for turning into an obtuse race that now waits for the news of someone’s passing away, rather than waiting for the news of their recovery!

Sorry will never be enough!

The Osbournes hit back at Roger Waters as “a sad, irrelevant, old, miserable, ugly human being”

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

Ozzy Osbourne’s family have hit out at Roger Waters branding him “a sad, irrelevant, old, miserable, ugly human being”.

It comes after the Pink Floyd bassist previously spoke out about The Prince Of Darkness’ death shortly after his passing.

“Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him in his whatever state that he was in his whole life, we’ll never know. Although he was all over the TV for hundreds of years, with his idiocy and nonsense. The music, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a fuck,” Waters said at the time.

Waters went on: “I don’t care about Black Sabbath, I never did. I have no interest in biting the heads of chickens or whatever they do. I couldn’t care less, you know.”

This led to Jack Osbourne hitting out at his comments and defending his late father’s honour.

“Hey Roger Waters, fuck you. How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become. The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bullshit in the press. My father always thought you were a c*nt – thanks for proving him right,” he said in response.

Now, Sharon, Jack and Kelly Osbourne have laid into Waters again on the latest episode of The Osbournes Podcast.

Sharon said he was “probably one of the most sick individuals I’ve come across in years,” with Jack responding, “Oh, you talking about my mate Roger?,” before Kelly added: “He’s a fucking c*nt.”

Sharon continued: “He isn’t, ’cause c*nts are good. … He has no charisma. He looks like Frankenstein.”

She went on to say: “The guy is sick in the head. He is not relevant in today’s world. Nobody likes him. It’s not just us. Nobody likes this man. … unless you’re a fascist.”

Sharon added: “I don’t know how those guys in Pink Floyd put up with him as long as they did. … David [Gilmour] is the most gracious, warm person you could ever meet.”

She then summed him up as “a sad, irrelevant, old, miserable human being – a miserable ugly human being.”

Waters has previously denied accusations of antisemitism in his support for Palestine. In 2023, CAA published a documentary of the musician The Dark Side Of Roger Waters. Upon watching it, Waters slammed the film as “a flimsy, unapologetic piece of propaganda”.

The musician has been a longtime supporter of Palestine; most recently, he urged followers on social media not to vote for Kamala Harris or Donald Trump in the upcoming US election due to their respective stances on the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. He has also hit back at other musicians for their various stances on Israel.

Speaking about Waters’ comments on Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon said: “Do you know why he [Waters] did it? He did it because he knows I’m half-Jewish.”

Waters is yet to respond publicly to any of the Osbournes’ comments.

In the past Sharon has hit out at Kneecap, over their stance on supporting Palestinians describing their “whole attitude” as “one of anger, it’s not of peace”. She also called for a “revocation of Kneecap’s work visa”.

The band in response said: “Statements aren’t aggressive, murdering 20,000 children is though.”

Elsewhere in the podcast, the family revealed that Ozzy was secretly hospitalised just two weeks before his final concert and they shared that both Donald Trump and King Charles reached out to them after learning of the Prince Of Darkness’ death.

Nili Lotan Jeans Try-On and Review 2025

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

I may be 29, but more often than not, people mistake me for being 21. I blame it on being five feet tall with a baby face. Whenever I share my real age, I get the same line: “You’ll appreciate looking young when you’re older.” Maybe one day I will—but that day hasn’t come yet.

Because of this, I’ve spent years figuring out how to dress more mature. I’ve learned that maxi or midi skirts and dresses work better for me than short ones, and that long, fitted jeans are infinitely more flattering than cropped or baggy styles. However, I’m always on the lookout for new silhouettes and designers to try. For example, a few months ago, after hearing everyone talk about Khaite Jeans, I went into the NYC flagship store and ended up splurging on a pair because they somehow make me look taller. I also recently filled up my closet with maxi pencil skirts from Enza Costa and COS. After all of that, one brand was still on my must-try list: Nili Lotan, specifically its denim. Between TikTok, Instagram, and Substack (yes, I’m chronically online), every fashion influencer I follow has been raving about how good Nili Lotan jeans are. While they’ve all spoken about the fit, the feel, and the quality, I noticed that every person, regardless of their body type, looks a little more sophisticated and put-together with the jeans on, so naturally, I was intrigued.

For those unfamiliar, Nili Lotan is a New York–based designer who launched her eponymous label in 2003 following a career at renowned labels such as Ralph Lauren and Nautica. Over the past two decades, she has built her brand around timeless, sophisticated staples—pieces that are clean, functional, and luxurious, which her jeans exemplify. They’re all made from Japanese denim, a high-grade, long-staple cotton known for its durability and beautiful fade over time. In other words, they’re built to last.

Since I’m easily persuaded, but also always have to see for myself, I made my way to Nili Lotan’s Tribeca store to try on the brand’s top four best-selling denim styles—Shon, Joan, Megan, and Florence. Without further ado, keep scrolling to see how each pair fits and how they made me feel and, hopefully, look more mature.

Nili Lotan Shon Jeans

My review: Whether you’re a longtime fan of Nili Lotan or just discovering the brand, it’s likely you’ve come across the cult-favorite Shon pant. This barrel-leg silhouette has appeared in the closets of celebrities such as Anne Hathaway and Emma Roberts, as well as fashion editors and content creators. Apart from its endorsements, the Shon pant has gained acclaim for its ultra-soft fabric, utilitarian-inspired pockets, and a fit that’s both comfortable and flattering. To further explain its popularity, the brand features an entire section and landing page showcasing everything about the Shon, from wool and cotton styles to leather, corduroy, and Japanese denim—the latter of which I tried on.

Now, let’s dive in to the review. To start, the Shon pant tends to run large, as my attentive sales associate kindly informed me. Typically, I wear a size 25 in jeans, so I went with a 24, and I could have possibly gone down another size without issue. While the 24 fit, it sat a bit lower on the waist than the intended mid-rise style.

I loved the uniquely curved silhouette and seam detail at the knees, which gave it a classic barrel-leg look while still being figure-flattering—no small feat for someone like me, who’s only 5 feet tall. I was especially happy to see how the legs gently tapered at my ankles, rather than pooling on the ground.

Overall, these jeans are ideal for anyone seeking stylish yet comfortable denim. They’re the pair you grab when the goal is to look put-together with minimal effort.

My review: When I asked my sales associate to pull the best-selling styles, she hesitated before suggesting the Joan, warning they’d likely be far too long for me. However, I know they are one of the brand’s most popular pairs, so I insisted on trying them on and cuffing them underneath for pictures—and I’m so glad I did. Yes, they’re long—longer than most jeans I’ve worn, but in every other respect, they’re near perfect. Plus, Nili Lotan offers complimentary hemming in-store and online. For in-store, it is available on all pants (denim and non-denim). Online, it is only available for the brand’s denim, and customers can bring their purchase to a Nili Lotan store.

The Joan features a high-rise, straight-leg silhouette made from non-stretch Japanese denim, which means they run slightly small. The fit is flattering yet subtly relaxed through the leg, and the back pockets sit high, creating a lifted effect. They come in three washes, but for winter, I’m partial to the dark rinse because it feels especially sophisticated when paired with my black sweaters and coats.

If I had to compare these to another favorite denim, I’d say they’re most similar to Khaite’s Danielle jeans, only with a touch more flexibility—and at nearly half the price.

Size range: 24–32

Washes: 3

Inseam: 34″

Sizing tip: Size up

Shop the jeans:

Nili Lotan Florence Jeans

My review: Anyone who claims patch-pocket denim is outdated hasn’t seen the Florence jeans. Nili Lotan refreshed this popular French-backed denim trend by slightly enlarging the front pockets compared to other styles, launching them in three very 2025 washes—black and two medium-blue distressed shades that evoke a vintage appeal—and constructing them in Japanese denim for a high-quality look and feel. The Florence jeans fit true to size but are fairly snug, especially in the upper thighs. Their style flows into a long, bootcut hem, giving an extra nod to ’70s fashion.

Talking about the ’70s, these jeans exude a carefree, bohemian spirit that feels relaxed and aligns well with the larger trend toward boho-inspired fashion we’re noticing this year. It looks equally good paired with billowy blouses as it does with a simple tee and a short jacket.

My review: Classic wide-leg jeans have become a favorite among fashion people, and this pair is a real contender. The Megan jeans feature a mid-rise silhouette that fits snugly around the waist and hips, cascading into a cropped wide leg—though, I must admit they didn’t end up cropped on me. Crafted from luxuriously soft Japanese stretch denim, these jeans feel like a gentle embrace against the skin. I can easily envision wearing them on a long-haul flight, which is a big statement since I typically stick to leggings or elevated sweatpants for travel.

They don’t have front pockets, which is a bit new for me, but I do love the thick waistband that makes a statement while flattering the waist. I can envision insiders pairing these with a calf-length heeled boot and a fitted leather jacket, or with ballet flats and a polo sweater. The versatility of this pair makes it an essential addition to any It girl’s wardrobe.

Diddy Prison Release Date Is Reportedly Pushed Back

Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ prison release date has reportedly been pushed back, per the Bureau of Prisons.

Sean Diddy Combs’ Prison Release Date Is Reportedly Pushed Back

According to an exclusive report published by Page Six, the Bureau of Prisons updated Diddy’s prison release date on Wednesday, November 12. The outlet reportedly confirmed the update, noting that Diddy’s updated prison release date is now scheduled for June 4, 2028.

Lastly, the exclusive report notes that “the reason behind the adjusted date remains unclear.” Page Six added that at this time, it has reached out to Diddy’s rep and the Bureau of Federal Prisons. However, neither entity has yet to respond. Furthermore, USA Today also confirmed the update and notes that the bureau was unable to be reached due to “‘lapse in appropriations’ due to the ongoing government shutdown.”

More Details On His Initial Prison Release Date & Recent Prison Transfer

As The Shade Room previously reported, in July, Diddy was convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Then, in October, he was sentenced to 50 months behind bars — credited with time served since his detention in September 2024.

Then, in October, the Bureau of Prisons scheduled Diddy’s release from behind bars for May 8, 2028.

Before the month concluded, Diddy was transferred from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, to Fort Dix Prison in New Jersey, per The Shade Room. By November 1st, a photo of the 56-year-old surfaced online showing him amongst the other incarcerated individuals in the yard.

What May Have Pushed Diddy’s Prison Release Date Back? Here’s What Allegedly Has Happened Since His Prison Transfer

But it appears things haven’t been entirely smooth for Diddy since his transfer to Fort Dix. Although he’s reportedly working various jobs, such as a laundry attendant and a chaplain assistant, he reportedly landed in hot water for a recent unauthorized three-way phone call. Per Page Six, the call occurred on November 3, and in turn, Diddy reportedly alleged that he was unaware of the facility’s policy. Additionally, his rep reportedly added that the phone call was permissible due to attorney-client privilege. Furthermore, amid this, it was rumored that Diddy participated in illegal alcohol use. However, his team denied the “rumor.”

“As with any high-profile individual in a new environment, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories throughout his time there — most of them untrue. We ask that people give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth,” they reportedly stated per the outlet.

Amid all this, the 56-year-old’s intake photo also surfaced. Check it out below.

The band’s Australian ‘Power Up’ tour kickoff registered on a seismograph at a local research center

AC/DC’s first show in their home country in a decade was so powerful the sound waves registered on earthquake detection equipment. The band apparently took their 1980 hit “You Shook Me All Night Long” literally in Melbourne when they kicked off the Australian leg of their Power Up tour.

According to Australia’s ABC News, the Seismology Research Centre in nearby Richmond picked up the vibrations in the 2-5 hertz range and locals also took to social media to discuss the strikingly loud music. The show took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground stadium, a little more than two miles from the Centre, but one resident living over six miles away also told ABC that they heard the concert too.

Still, Adam Pascale, a chief scientist at the Centre, told the publication that seismology is not just about how loud the concert was to the ear. “We’re picking up the ground motion, we’re not picking up the sound from the air. So you’ve got speakers on the ground pumping out vibrations and that gets transmitted through the ground, but also the crowd jumping up and down is feeding energy into the ground.”

Pascale also said that the enthusiasm of the crowd is really what pushes a concert into earth-shaking territory. “If everyone’s sort of bouncing in unison, it tends to amplify the signal so we can pick it up a little bit better,” he said. “Whereas, if it’s sort of just general crowd motion, like even at the grand final at the MCG, we can still pick that up.” Pascale said AC/DC’s vibrations were no match for Taylor Swift’s in 2024, which emitted the largest signals they’ve registered from a show.

AC/DC’s aptly named Power Up Tour started in Europe last year, where it sold more than two million tickets for 24 shows before going on to sell out in North America. They kicked off the U.S. leg of the tour in Minneapolis, Minnesota this April. In Melbourne, the band played a favorite from their back-catalogue, “Jailbreak” for the first time since 1991.

How much could the Steam Machine cost? Our prediction

We wish we could tell you outright how much the Steam Machine could cost, but sadly, Valve has not provided any figures, so we’ve put on our detective hat to give you our prediction on how many of your pretty pennies you will have to cough up.

Dubbed by many as the ‘GabeCube’, the Steam Machine offers gamers an exciting proposition: a more powerful Steam Deck hooked up to your TV.

One of the primary pillars of the Deck’s success was its affordability, and Valve has indicated it wants to continue this tradition with the Steam Machine, but stormy clouds are gathering on the PC horizon that are causing the cost of certain components to skyrocket.

With no official word then, it’s up to us to read the tea leaves of interviews, and which market segment Valve is positioning the Steam Machine for, to figure out how much the Steam Machine will cost.

Speaking to Linus Sebastian of Linus Tech Tips, Valve said that the Steam Machine will be “competitively priced with a PC”, but notes that it will be “priced like a PC rather than like a console”.

This is very telling on where to expect the cost of the Steam Machine to land, as entry gaming PCs are typically more expensive than consoles, at least in their base configuration as opposed to specialist SKUs such as the PlayStation 5 Pro.

Something Sebastian also points out is that console manufacturers typically sell consoles at a loss, knowing that they will recoup money from selling games, but the Steam Machine is a PC, that could just be bought in bulk by companies to be deployed as enterprise computers, with no games sold, meaning that Valve does have to price it in a way that they won’t lose money for sustainability.

A trick Valve has up its sleeve compared to typical prebuilt PCs is that it has designed the Steam machine in-house, meaning Valve only has to spend money on exactly what it needs.

They will also be able to negotiate pricing directly with suppliers such as AMD, who produce both the CPU and GPU featured in the Steam machine, and can reduce the costs further by the fact that Valve will be buying components in bulk.

Looking at pre-built PC suppliers such as AWD-IT, a similarly specced PC, such as the Mars, comes in at £569.99 on sale.

The Mars features an AMD Radeon 7600 8GB GPU, which is slightly more powerful than the “semi-custom” AMD RDNA3 GPU found in the Steam Machine, and an AMD Ryzen 5500 6-core CPU, which is a generation older than the Zen 4-based 6-core CPU of Valve’s home console, and as such, is slower.

Performance-wise, the Steam Machine will probably be faster overall, given the improved CPU, but not by a huge margin.

The Steam Machine might be more performant with similar hardware; however, as testing by multiple vendors has shown some games running better under Linux, but one could just put Linux on the AWD-IT PC and call it a day as well.

As such, we speculate that the Steam Machine could cost in the region of £500-600 if Valve intends it to be competitively priced.

Add in the fact that you will be getting a controller as well, then this value proposition goes up.

There is something to consider, however, and that is the ever-increasing cost of DRAM and NAND modules used for system memory and SSDs, respectively.

The big push for AI is the driving factor here, as large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT gobble up memory.

There is also the tariff situation to take into consideration, which will primarily affect prospective buyers in the US, but Valve could spread the burden internationally so as not to lose out on one of the biggest gaming markets. Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders were delayed in the US due to tariffs, so disruption here for consoles is not unprecedented.

At this point, Valve itself probably doesn’t know exactly how much the Steam Machine will cost. Hopefully, deals and contracts have already been signed ahead of time, but given that no price has been announced, this seems unlikely.

When we know more, we will update you as soon as we can.
