Zayn Malik Reveals His Daughter Inspired His Hit Collaboration With BLACKPINK’s Jisoo on Eyes Closed

by jummy84 November 21, 2025
written by jummy84

BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Zayn Malik’s song Eyes Closed has garnered great appreciation from their fans and music enthusiasts. Fans couldn’t believe that a One Direction singer collaborated with a BLACKPINK singer. As the collaboration happened, they were eager to know about the discussions the two had on the song. Interestingly, the song also landed at no. 72 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Zayn Malik also shared that he decided to collaborate with Jisoo after consulting his 5-year-old daughter Khai. While speaking to BBC Radio 1, he noted that he recorded the song and made sure to rework on his own parts to match the Flower singer’s vibe. Opening up on the collaboration with Jisoo, Malik lauded her solo success and hits with BLACKPINK. He added, “She is obviously killing at the minute. BLACKPINK are all over the place.” Zayn opened up about her global influence and praised BLACKPINK as one of the most sought after groups worldwide.

Talking about his daughter Khai, Zayn also said, “My daughter’s a massive fan. So when she asked to do the feature, I was like, yeah. My daughter’s gonna think I’m cool again. So I’ll definitely do that. I’m not out of the game yet.” Zayn also noted, “To come back to it with people who are basically owning that genre at the minute was an honour.”

Again, Zayn emphasised on Jisoo’s kindness and stated, “If I can say thanks to Jisoo for giving me that opportunity, I would like to say that.”

On the professional front, Zayn hasn’t opened up about any of his upcoming songs yet. As for Jisoo, the singer is currently with the other BLACKPINK members Lisa, Jennie and Rose for their world tour, the DEADLINE tour. The group also released a new song some time back, titled Jump.

Eva Victor, Mary Bronstein, HIKARI, Leslye Headland Talk at SCAD

by jummy84 November 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Each year, the SCAD Savannah Film Festival hosts panels dedicated to directors for an audience of Savannah College of Art and Design (that’s SCAD) students. This year’s Behind Their Lens: Directors panel, in partnership with IndieWire’s Future of Filmmaking, hosted women and nonbinary filmmakers: Mary Bronstein (“If I Had Legs I’d Kick You”), Leslye Headland (“The Acolyte,” “Russian Doll”), HIKARI (“Rental Family”), and Eva Victor (“Sorry, Baby”).

The four filmmakers sat down with IndieWire Executive Editor Ryan Lattanzio (that’s me) on Tuesday, October 28, in Savannah for a wide-ranging discussion about their new and upcoming projects, and past challenges and triumphs. All four are independent filmmakers who’ve crafted deeply personal work with the support of well-resourced financing, production, and distribution companies and studios, whether A24 (which picked up “Sorry, Baby” out of Sundance 2025 and produced and distributed “If I Had Legs”), Disney (“The Acolyte”), Netflix (“Russian Doll”), or Searchlight Pictures (“Rental Family”).

Margery Simkin poses for a portrait at the Indiewire Craft Roundtables 2025 at the Lumen Building on November 08, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

“I find that it’s a process of digging the deepest that you can possibly dig, and then taking that really specific thing and figuring out a way to abstract it out so that it’s something that people can also find themselves in,” said Bronstein, who took “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You” to other companies, where she was rejected, until A24 fully trusted in her vision.

For Headland, pivoting from plays and films like “Bachelorette” and Netflix’s time-hopping dark comedy “Russian Doll” to the “Star Wars” series “The Acolyte” involved retaining the personal by laundering her film nerdiness into broader franchise IP vernacular.

“There’s a lot of me in the movies I make and projects I do,” said Japanese director HIKARI of her film, which stars Brendan Fraser as a man hired to play surrogate relatives or friends for grieving people in Tokyo. “Slicing my own experience into the story. This one [‘Rental Family’] quite a bit. [It was] therapeutic, maybe.” Working with Searchlight Pictures allowed her to broaden her scope. “My first movie was [made for] less than a million. I basically called everybody, including my rich ex-boyfriend, to see if he could give me money.”

Before “Sorry, Baby,” Victor cut their teeth with self-made social media videos about their anxiety, and was also a writer for the satirical women’s self-help website Reductress. “Sorry, Baby” was produced by Barry Jenkins and Adele Romanski through their production company Pastel. “Their intervention level is very, very deliberate. The messaging was always ‘you need to make the film you want to make,’ and that is the thing that allowed me to make the film I wanted to make. They got out of the way and were very protective of me discovering as I went.”

“Let the 50th Hunger Games begin!” Lionsgate has revealed the first look teaser trailer for their next new epic The Hunger Games sequel – this one is titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. It’s a prequel to the original The Hunger Games stories, but also a sequel to the other recent The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes movie that opened in 2023. This teaser has arrived exactly one year from release – this opens in theaters on November 20th, 2026. Sunrise on the Reaping revisits the world of Panem and follows young Haymitch Abernathy 24 years before the events of THG, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell. Something big will happen here? This one has an exceptional cast: Joseph Zada as Haymitch, Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee, Ralph Fiennes as President Coriolanus Snow, Glenn Close as Drusilla Sickle, Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, Elle Fanning as young Effie Trinket, Mckenna Grace as tribute Maysilee Donner, Maya Hawke as Wiress, Whitney Peak, and Kelvin Harrison Jr. This also features a different Hunger Games setup up in the mountains which reminds of Midsommar in many ways. Take a look below.

Here’s the teaser for Francis Lawrence’s The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, via YouTube:

Mukesh Bhatt Calls Divya Khosla Kumar’s Savi vs Jigra Accusations A ‘Publicity Stunt’

Mukesh Bhatt Calls Divya Khosla Kumar’s Savi vs Jigra Accusations A ‘Publicity Stunt’

by jummy84 November 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Veteran filmmaker and producer Mukesh Bhatt has fired back at Divya Khosla Kumar’s claims that Jigra, starring his niece Alia Bhatt, copied the plot of her film Savi. In a recent interview, he dismissed the allegations as nothing more than a bid for media attention.

According to Mukesh, Divya’s public statements are purely strategic. “What Divya did for publicity, I don’t know about that,” he said, calling the controversy manufactured. He insisted that Jigra didn’t originate from Savi, instead, he claimed Jigra draws from Mahesh Bhatt’s 1993 film Gumrah, which itself was influenced by the story Bangkok Hilton.

Mukesh particularly defended Alia, saying she “is too big for this” kind of drama. “Alia Bhatt is a major star. She doesn’t need to steal ideas from my films,” he noted. He described the controversy as “cheap behaviour,” saying Alia doesn’t have to “stoop” to such tactics.

Beyond the plagiarism claims, Divya has also alleged that Jigra inflated its box-office numbers by buying tickets, sharing a picture of an apparently empty theatre as evidence. But Mukesh rejected these as well, framing them as part of the attention-grabbing narrative.

He pushed back hard against what he saw as a calculated attempt to pull a big name into a row. “When you drag a bigger name into something, a controversy is bound to spark,” he said, but maintained that Alia “would never stoop to such a level.”

Mukesh also responded to the story origins more broadly. He noted that for Savi, he acquired the rights to The Next Three Days, the Russell Crowe film, and reversed the gender dynamic for his version. Meanwhile, he has yet to personally watch Jigra, which he says leaves room for misunderstanding.

This isn’t the first time the feud has gotten loud. Divya publicly challenged Alia’s team, accusing them of buying tickets and announcing false box-office figures. She even fired back at Karan Johar, who had posted a cryptic message that many interpreted as a response to her claims.

Mukesh’s strong rebuttal underlines the deep tensions around the controversy, not just about creative ownership, but about reputation, legacy, and how Bollywood’s public battles are often played out in the press. For now, his stance is clear: he believes the controversy was created for visibility, and he remains firmly in defense of his niece.

The Attico Resort 2026 Collection

The Attico Resort 2026 Collection

by jummy84 November 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Even the high priestesses of hedonistic glamour behind The Attico aren’t immune to the occasional bout of style uncertainty. They too occasionally tumble into that universal existential fashion crisis: being all dressed up with absolutely nowhere to go. “That was the mood of the summer collection,” they said.

Imagine slipping into a see-through sequined number and stilettos engineered to spike heart rates, and crowning it all with a headdress boasting more feathers than a Folies Bergère showgirl, only to travel from your dressing room to the kitchen. It happens. Maybe you’ve just ditched an embarrassing boyfriend. Maybe you’re indulging your inner diva. In true Attico spirit, being overdressed for real life is proof that you’re living slightly above it, like being early to the future, already prepped for a fabulous party whose invitation hasn’t yet been sent.

The collection’s cast of characters, as imagined by designers Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini, treat eccentricity as a second skin. If you’ve consigned yourself to staying in, even the kitchen countertop becomes a stage. Picture it: you’re flipping an omelette wrapped in a hulking black leather blouson tossed over a billowing taffeta mini. The silhouette is gloriously impractical, which is precisely the point. And because subtlety is so passé, you top it off with a glittering, Gatsby-worthy headpiece. Domesticity, but make it dazzlingly over the (kitchen counter-) top.

The Attico duo have perfected the charm of the intentionally undone. How else to explain a slinky, see-through stretch tube midi skirt sequined like a disco ball and trimmed with plumes, deliberately thrown off balance by a tough, oversized zippered suede blouson? Or a hard-edged black leather waistcoat squaring off against a ballerina skirt?

And then there are the thigh-high black leather boots doing the work of trousers, teamed with a white slip dress whipped into a Pavlova-grade pouf skirt. The masquerade bird-of-paradise headdresses, punctuating the collection like gleeful exclamation points, only amplify The Attico’s curated provocation. The collection was christened The Dream Party You Never Attended. Anything is possible, of course, but let’s be honest: an Attico girl doesn’t stay home scrambling eggs. She dresses to seduce. Even the omelette wouldn’t stand a chance.

ECOsmart by Greengage launches The Conscious Pledge to cut industry single-use plastics

by jummy84 November 20, 2025
written by jummy84

ECOsmart by Greengage has launched The Conscious Pledge, a new industry-wide initiative to eliminate single-use plastic gifts and packaging amongst the events, business travel, and accommodation community.

The campaign encourages venues, hotels, and agencies to ‘swap plastic for purpose’ by replacing giveaways with meaningful alternatives such as charitable donations or time spent supporting environmental initiatives.

The launch comes as global concern around plastic waste continues to rise. According to UNEP (2023), around 85% of single-use plastic packaging ends up in landfill or as unregulated waste, and by 2025, as much as 199 million tonnes of plastic will be in our oceans.

The Conscious Pledge invites organisations to commit to stop giving and receiving plastic gifts during meetings with each other. They will receive a Conscious Pledge campaign pack with guidance and messaging to help make the transition easy. Businesses can also display their Conscious Pledge badge to inspire others to follow suit.

Greengage CEO Andrew Perolls said: “As an industry, we have the power to make small changes that add up to a big difference – for our oceans, for our health, and for the example we set to clients. The Conscious Pledge makes it simple to take positive action and play a part.”

Early supporters – including Clarity Business Travel, Warwick Conferences, Inntel, Edgbaston Park Hotel, If Only, Elegant Resorts, and Church House Westminster – have already pledged to remove single-use plastics from all partner interactions.

Kirsty Given, Clarity Business Travel’s Director of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability, commented: “Our people, customers, and suppliers expect us to demonstrate sustainability in our own organisational choices, and committing to The Conscious Pledge is a simple, practical way for us to show that our responsible practice includes the small, everyday decisions. Those small changes can create powerful ripple effects; we want to be part of that momentum and encourage the entire industry to do the same.”

Justine Meek, Warwick Conferences’ Agency Relationship manager added: “We like the campaign because it aligns perfectly with our commitment to reducing industry waste. Through the Conscious Pledge we will be taking meaningful steps to address our contribution to the global issue of single-use plastic. Too often, single-use items such as merchandise are brought and used briefly before being discarded, adding to the amount of unnecessary waste. By supporting this campaign, we are choosing to make changes that can create a lasting impact for the future.”

The Conscious Pledge is open to hotels, venues, event and venue-finding agencies, and travel management companies which want to demonstrate a commitment to reducing waste and protecting the environment.

Fantastic Gift Ideas for Elegant Women

Fantastic Gift Ideas for Elegant Women – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 November 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Christmas is coming up fast, and it can be hard to come up with unique and personal gifts for all of the people in our lives. To take some of the pressure off, we’ll give you a few good gift ideas for women that are elegant and won’t cost every penny you have.

Elegant gifts can often be associated with hefty price tags, but this doesn’t have to be the case. Especially when you are trying to come up with gift ideas for women, so many of the good options in terms of perfumes, accessories and experiences can have steep price tags. But if you shop smart, you can still treat the important women in your life to finery and elegance, but without needing to sell any organs to do it. While most people can be satisfied just that you are thinking of them and have put thought into a gift, thinking of elegant gift ideas for women, and going that extra mile can be worth it.

With Christmas right around the corner, let’s have a closer look at some elegant yet affordable gift ideas for women. These ideas won’t break the bank, but they will make the women in your life feel seen and special, which they deserve.

Give Them The Gift of Scent

Things that smell nice are lovely gifts to receive, and perfume is one of the classic gift ideas for women that can rarely backfire or go badly. The only problem is, all of the high-end fragrances can get ridiculously expensive, and you don’t want to get something tawdry and cheap. Thankfully, in the modern perfume scene, there are very convincing dupes that do a reasonable job of emulating the scents of well-known, exquisite brands. For example, finding a dupe perfume for Baccarat 540 is as easy as clicking on the right link or typing the right phrase into Google.

Perfume dupes take an expensive perfume as inspiration and try to riff on the same notes and scents that it contains. They then give a reasonable approximation of that style, for a price that is several orders of magnitude lower. This is a great gift, because you can even pick up a couple of contrasting or complementary dupes and gift them over a year of special occasions. Having a range of elegant scents to choose from will make any woman feel like a queen, as she should.

Simple, Elegant and Minimalist Jewelry

A simple truth that resounds through many aspects of life is: Less is more. This can certainly be true of jewelry. Simple, minimalist pieces can draw the eye and look truly elegant and refined without making a huge fuss about it. If you know the right metals to match their skin tone, jewelry is another one of the classic gift ideas for women that can rarely go wrong.

Focusing on simplicity and minimalism should mean that you won’t need to be the lost scion of a branch of European royalty to afford something nice. Some classic options can include things like:

  • Thin rings that can stack together nicely.
  • Bracelets or ankelets.
  • Slim, elegant chain necklaces.
  • Simple earrings like thin hoops, studs or pearl drops.

With simple and elegant jewelry pieces, many outfits can be improved with a simple touch of subtlety.

Elegant Accessories Offer Affordable Luxury

Instead of opting for silk, satin and imitation silks can give a very similar, almost identical, feeling while costing nowhere near the same price. Incorporating some of these elegant accessories into a list of gift ideas for women could provide a nice range of options for you to pick from. Things such as the following are items any woman is likely to appreciate as a gift:

  • Hair scrunchies or headbands.
  • Soft pillowcases.
  • Scarves or gloves.
  • Sleep masks.

Any of these items in silk is likely to be exorbitantly expensive, but satin or other silk-like options can be just as nice. These items can make great gifts because they have a touch of practicality about them as well. If you want the women in your life to think of you every time they use a scarf to keep warm or a sleep mask to have a nice nap, these are great gifts.

Give Them Spa Treatment At Home

Nothing can help someone unwind so much as being pampered and treated at a spa, but you don’t need to gift an actual spa day; giving them a range of self-care items can be just as appreciated. Giving them a combination of any of the following gifts will allow them to treat themselves to some self-care:

  • Scented aromatherapy oils.
  • Body scrubs.
  • Scented candles.
  • Bath salts.
  • Artisanal soaps.

There is a huge range of stores that provide all these sorts of items, so if you are looking for gift ideas for women, those stores can be an easy one-stop shop to pick up everything you need to give them a spa day in a box.

Final Thoughts

Hopefully, there are some good gift ideas for women in this article that you can make use of to stop the holiday season from being overwhelming. As we said earlier, the key component to any gift that will make anyone happy is that you have spent time and effort thinking about them.

All of these gift ideas will work much better if they are tailored to whoever you are giving them to. Knowing the right metals to match their skin tone, knowing their favorite scents for perfume or scented candles and soaps, these are the details that say to the women in your life that you pay attention to them and that you care, and they are what will make these gifts stand out and be remembered.

Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar are one of Bollywood’s most beloved on-screen duos. They started their acting career almost at the same time and have collaborated together on cult favourites in both action and comedy genres. However, their strong friendship goes beyond the camera. Let’s revisit the time when Suniel Shetty reminisced about his emotional connection with co-star Akshay Kumar. Read on to know more.

Suneil Shetty Reflected On His First Meeting With Akshay Kumar

In an interview with Radio Nasha Official, Suniel Shetty opened up about his first meeting and close bond with Akshay Kumar. He shared, “Mai kabhi nahi bhul sakta kyunki mere cousin Ullas jisne meri pehli photographs bhi bahar bheji and I got my first modelling assignment. And I had just lost him in a car accident. He was 27 or 28 years old when he died. When I saw Akshay for the first time, I saw Ullas in him – same body language, same clean shaven face, same tall frame and good looking boy. The first thing I said to Akshay was, ‘You remind me of my brother who I lost in a car accident.’ It’s scary that I have to sit down and work with you everyday kyunki jab bhi mai aapke saath kaam karunga mujhe uski yaad aayegi. Akshay is the biggest masti-khor you’ll ever meet. He made even the longest nights on the sets lighter and happier.”

Suniel Shetty On His Close Bond With Akshay Kumar

Earlier, in an interview with Instant Bollywood, Suniel Shetty talked about his brotherly bond with Akshay Kumar. He said, “Yes, he reminds me of my cousin Ullas, and I think that’s why I’m very emotionally attached to Akshay – because he keeps reminding me of my cousin. The structure, the looks, then when he was younger, I told Akshay on the first day of shoot for Waqt Humara Hai, the way he is and his entire behaviour reminds me of him (Ullas).

Suniel Shetty & Akshay Kumar Worked On Various Projects Together

For the unversed, Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar have shared screen space in several movies, including Dhadkan, Awara Paagal Deewana, Hera Pheri, Deewane Huye Paagal, De Dana Dan, Welcome, and Phir Hera Pheri, among others.

The Duo Is Set to Share Screen Again In Welcome To The Jungle

On the work front, Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar are gearing up for their upcoming release, Welcome to the Jungle, which is slated to release in December 2025. It also features Paresh Rawal, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, Disha Patani, Johny Lever, and Arshad Warsi, among others.

Zig Zag Launches SPV Fund With Seventy7 Ventures

by jummy84 November 20, 2025
written by jummy84

I Wanna Marry Harry producer Zig Zag has launched a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for film, TV and sports and is targeting a £20M ($26M) fund to support them.

Zig Zag, which had its production arm declared insolvent last year before re-emerging, has joined with Seventy7Ventures on the SPV.

The pair are looking to create a fund that will support “capital-intensive productions across scripted, unscripted, and sports-led entertainment formats.”

Each project will be put through the SPV via a six-month exclusive financing option. Should a project not secure financing within the option window, Zig Zag may extend the term or reassign the project and introduce replacements.

Zig Zag boss Danny Fenton will work closely with Seventy7 Ventures executive chairman Ketan Makwana.

“We at Zig Zag are excited to work with Seventy7 and its partners in exploring new ways of programme financing in an ever-evolving market place,” said Fenton. “We think the model Ketan offers has great viability and rewards for the investment community and producers alike.”

The news comes 18 months after Fenton’s indie, which has made Fox’s I Wanna Marry Harry and Danny Dyer’s Deadliest Men, shut down its production arm after 25 years amid the unscripted commissioning drought, which led to a number of layoffs. The company had its IP assets, including its development slate and the catalogue, valued by an independent business and then sold at a premium to a new entity owned by Fenton, with the proceeds were used to pay off Zig Zag’s creditors, according to an interview with UK TV trade Broadcast in March 2025.

The production arm re-emerged this year having landed two sports commissions for the BBC and TNT Sports around a year after insolvency.
